Welcome to Mission: Mango! The purpose of this blog is to keep people informed as to where we are on our journey to Mango, Togo, West Africa!
Just to give you a little background....
In 2007 we committed to serving one year in Togo, West Africa. During our time in Togo we prayed that the Lord would guide us to a ministry where we could serve as a team. ABWE’s Project Office has turned out to be a great place to use the skills that God has given both of us!
As project coordinators in ABWE’s Project Office, we have been given the opportunity to once again live and serve in Togo, West Africa—this time in the northern part of the country, in a town called Mango. Mango, Togo is where the Wendell Kempton Medical & Ministry Center will be built!
Kevin will assist in the planning and building of the hospital as well as managing construction teams and I will serve by helping to host the short term construction teams that will serve throughout the duration of this project. The estimated length of this project is 3-5 years.
Please pray for this project! The ultimate goal of this project is that lives will be changed forever! Please also pray for us as we continue on this wonderful adventure with God!
There is so much to do and seemingly little time to do it!

- We are career missionaries serving in the Project Office of ABWE. Kevin is a Civil Engineer and Emily was an Administrative Assistant, serving in ABWE's home office. We attended French language school in Albertville, France for 3 months in 2010. Now, we are back in Togo to assist with the new hospital that ABWE is building in MANGO.

Mango, Togo
The city of Mango in northern Togo is a destitute place, located in the hottest part of the African country. Mango is a place where there has been little evangelical witness and virtually no medical care exists there.
After an unprecedented invitation by the government, ABWE desires to bring the love of Christ to Mango through the establishment of the Wendell Kempton Medical and Ministry Center, a compassionate ministry offering quality healthcare and opportunities for evangelism and church planting.
