What a great verse for the New Year!
Lately, I have sensed a real urgency to pray for Mango and the people there. With this urgency comes a desire to complete the support raising portion of our journey and get to Mango!
Speaking of support raising, the Lord is blessing! Praise the Lord for a church that has taken us on for $250/mo! We are also thankful for an individual who has committed to $20/mo and another gift of $200! These two monthly commitments have increased our support by 6.3% this week alone!
So, including all of the commitments we have received from churches and individuals we are at 73% of our needed support for 3 years in Mango to help build the Wendell Kempton Medical & Ministry Center!
We must attend Field Preparation Seminar at ABWE before we can leave for the field. ABWE offers this 2 week seminar in March and again in November of each year. It is required that attendees be at 85% or greater in order to attend this seminar.
We are earnestly praying that the Lord would allow us to reach 85% by March so that we can attend the March Field Prep Seminar! Please pray with us! To be at 85% we need to raise at least $501 in monthly support or $18,036 in one time gifts! If you or anyone you know would be interested in helping us reach this goal please do not hesitate to contact us!
If we are not at 85% by March we will have to wait until the November Field Prep Seminar which means that we will miss the entrance date for language school which begins in September and thus delay our arrival in Togo by several months. But the Lord knows all about it and we are trusting Him. We know the Lord will provide for us in His time—if He wants us at Field Prep Seminar in March, we’ll be there!

Mango, Togo
The city of Mango in northern Togo is a destitute place, located in the hottest part of the African country. Mango is a place where there has been little evangelical witness and virtually no medical care exists there.
